What the announcement says
On September 9, IRCC announced a temporary measure allowing eligible work permit holders to study for up to six months, or until their permit expires, whichever comes first, without a study permit. The measure runs until December 31, 2027. Full-time studies still require a study permit.
What to check before choosing a course
Confirm your eligibility under the linked official measure, your permit expiry and the course format. The announcement does not create a new route to enter Canada. A school's admission offer alone does not establish immigration authorization.
