Start with your circumstances
A refusal or procedural fairness concern needs a careful review of the actual decision, the submitted information and the timeline. We begin by identifying the issues and the appropriate scope of assistance, including when a referral to legal counsel may be needed.
What we can discuss
- Identify relevant notices and deadlines
- Review the issues raised in your decision or letter
- Discuss the appropriate scope of help and any referrals
What to prepare
Keep the decision or notice, the application submitted, requests for information and your responses together. Record when each document was received and any stated deadline. Mention time-sensitive issues when arranging a consultation, before sharing sensitive documents.
Read the consultation preparation guide →Useful questions for your consultation
